Call for proposals Child Sexual Abuse Reduction Research Network workshop in Valencia (Spain) December 4-5, 2025

Child sexual abuse is a complex and deeply harmful crime type that demands multi-sector collaboration to address effectively. In response, the Child Sexual Abuse Reduction Research Network was launched in 2023 to bring together scholars, practitioners, government agencies, and private and not-for-profit organizations from around the world to develop innovative, multidisciplinary responses. The Network will host its 3rd annual workshop in Valencia, Spain, on December 4–5, 2025, featuring presentations from leading international experts (read more from here).

This event will explore a wide range of critical topics, including offender behavior patterns and pathways, new investigatory techniques, AI and machine learning applications, offender-based interventions, prevention strategies, and support for victim-survivors. In line with the goals of ImpleMéndez, the workshop also promotes ethical, rights-based, and trauma-informed interviewing practices — advancing the implementation of the Méndez Principles in interviews with both victims and suspects of child sexual abuse.
